On Turning a Year Older & Living a Purposeful Life

So this post was supposed to be posted on 21st March, which was the day I turned a year older, but I decided to let it sit in my draft and schedule for today since it is the last day of the month and the end of the first quarter.

The first quarter of the year is over, and there’s a lot of introspection going on for quite a number of us. February was a difficult month, I was mentally and emotionally stressed, and this made me experience a lot of panic attacks. Honestly, I don’t want to ever experience the stressful and draining part of this quarter ever again but I thank God for healing me and filling my heart with joy because as stressful as it was, I also did great things for myself which I will be sharing in this post.

Turning a year older scared me, I won't lie. I thought about some things I should have achieved and should be enjoying by now but on the second thought, I perceived I was being ungrateful and should be proud of where I am now, celebrate the moment and keep striving on my journey to where I want to be.

As I mentioned earlier, visions were birthed in this first quarter, and I couldn’t be prouder.

  •  I started a Non-Profit that is focused on health/wellbeing and feeding projects for the less privileged and vulnerable, This is something I have wanted to do for a very long time, and I’m so excited that it's coming to reality.
  • I have almost perfected the art of skin formulation, and I will be starting my brand soon.
  • I am writing a chapbook ( collection of poems) that I plan to publish soon.

These visions made me realize that I’m on the right path and should never put myself down again… like ever. I’m also here to tell you that you should never measure your success with your peers because everyone is on their journey and time, and you will surely get to your destination successfully.

Have a great second quarter. 🥂

How To Make Carrot Oil

Carrot oil can be used for the skin or hair and getting a good one can be nerve-racking sometimes, it’s either expensive or you fear getting a fake one. I learned how to make my own carrot oil and the transformation was so beautiful; the use of carrot oil brightened my skin and made it really soft, the key is to apply it when your skin is still wet before applying your lotion 🌚 I have never gone back to buying from a store ever since. Keep reading as I walk you through how to make your own carrot oil. Supplies • Hand Grater  • Pot • Mesh Strainer or Cheese Cloth • Jar Carrot Oil Ingredient • Carrots • Essential or Carrier Oils of your choice (In my case I use Vitamin E Oil and Johnson’s Baby Oil)  Preparation   1. Wash carrots and peel the skin off. Grate carrots with the use of a hand grater. 2. Place the grated carrot in a pot and pour the oil of your choice to cover the carrot. 3. Heat very slowly until color changes from yellow to orange 4. Allow
