Review: L.A Girl Mattifying Liquid Foundation & Maybelline New York Fit Me Foundation

I HAVE BEEN AWAY for soooo long and it was unintentional..... life happened but it's great to be writing again. So I'm going to do something different by reviewing 2 different foundations at a time; L.A. Girl mattifying foundation and maybelline new york fit me foundation.

It has been a challenge for me to find a good foundation because of my super oily skin and most times I end up with either fake products or foundations that are not suitable for my skin type. I initially used a water based foundation which is actually not compatible with nigerian sun and in my desperate need to get another one and without research I bought the L.A Girl tube packaged foundation which the seller swore was matte and would be good on me 😩 Guys, after a month of usage, I did my research and finally got the maybelline fit me and I will be reviewing it too on this post. So leggo!

L.A. Girl Mattifing Foundation

fake LA girl foundation 607

Company Promises
  • 100% Natural Wear
  • Waterproof Oil Control

My Experiences

First of all I think this is not a real product from LA Girl because during my findings and research I found out that all LA girl foundations are bottle packaged so I might go ahead and say this is a fake product. It didn't give me what I wanted so I have nothing good to say about it But here are few points to note if you still feel you should get it.

  1. Its suitable for people with dry to normal skin.
  2. It stains and rubs off on clothes
  3. Its oily, which is why I recommend people with oily skin to totally avoid it. It gave me a breakout 😔
  4. It does not have a lasting wear, you will need to powder your face after 3hrs.
In conclusion; I didn't like it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless you want something really affordable and won't be bothered about the experiences I listed above.
You can get L.A. Girl foundation for 2000 - 2,500 naira depending on your location.

Maybelline New York Fit Me Foundation

Maybelline fit me 355 coconut
355 Coconut

Company Promises
  • Matte + Poreless
  • For Normal To Oily Skin

My Experiences
  • Maybelline fit me is a light weight foundation with a medium coverage, I didn't like it the first day I applied it but got the hang of it few days later.
  • It blends in easily and smoothly.
  • It doesn't give a very dry matte finish so I would say its a semi matte foundation.
  • It has a long lasting wear. I powered my face 7 hours later that day.
  • It does not come with a pump 👎 I mean!
  • You would have to be careful with the foundation because it runs fast to avoid making a mess.
In conclusion; I would recommend this foundation for people with normal to combination skin but those with very oily skin will have to use an oil control primer or setting powder and yes! I loved it and would definitely use it again.
You can get the maybelline fit me foundation for 3800 - 4500 naira depending on the area.

I hope you enjoyed both reviews? Have a wonderful week ahead.

Review: Virony Sanitary Pad

I used Virony for the first time yesterday and I ain't looking back. Few weeks ago, my friends told me about Virony pad which I was scared to get at first because of my fear of switching sanitary pads but the reviews and praises I got about it made me change my mind. Well, here I am too, dropping my praises about Virony.  Product Name: Virony Smart Lady Pad Company Promises Absorbs 60% faster Extended wings to prevent leak My Experiences  I love the feminine look and packaging, the fact that the pack can be reused as a makeup or storage bag makes me love it even more. Comes with 30 pieces in a pack (18 days, 7 nights and 5 pant liners) you will notice the difference in sizes.  It has a light and dry feel, no bulge or feels heavy when being worn and there is this minty feeling you experience down there ☻ It is perfect for heavy and light flows and does not leak or tear. My friends who experiences rashes with previous sanitary products swore that they did

Empty State Design - Meaning & Importance.

Empty State - Mobile Version Empty states are what users see when there is no information displayed on the mobile or web screen. In summary, these are screens with little or no content on them depending on the situation, and examples of the situations are: 404 errors  Empty email inboxes  Empty checkout cart  Connection issues  The user has only just signed up Getting no results when you make searches  There are other situations that can also be placed as empty states but the most important thing is for these pages to be as engaging as possible.  Empty states are very important in UX Design but are often overlooked by designers that find them as non-essential screens that do not need attention. Designing an empty state is very useful to user experience and adds great value to products and services.    Empty State - Web Version As a designer, creating empty states is a great opportunity to let the users know what is happening, why it’s happening, and what to do about it, this helps to d

Review: Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation

SHADE: 60 Caramel Getting the right foundation for my skin has always been a problem for me, it’s been either fake products which I talked about on this post  or the products don’t meet my needs. I hade to make an intense search online and found a video from a makeup blogger who mentioned that the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse was her favorite foundation for oily skin. I eventually got this foundation and here is a review of my experience using it.  The Company Information & Promises •  SPF 15 • Matte Perfect Foundation  • Light Weight Feel  My Experiences •  Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse is a light weight foundation with a light to medium coverage • It blends in easily easily and smoothly. • It gives a matte finish but lasted for only about 2-3 hours for me so I had to repowder throughout the day. • It had white undertones after I apply it and I had to buy the Mary Kay Timewise to blend with it whenever I use. • I couldn’t wear it on hot or sunny days
