Review: Absolute New York HD Flawless Foundation and Powder

When I received a mail from  @originalcosmeticsng asking to make a review of their product, I was smitten and who was I to refuse? They were kind enough to send these products to my doorstep and I just couldn't wait to try them out. Let the review begin: Absolute New York HD Flawless Foundation AHDF10 SIENNA SHADE What Company Says Second skin perfecting coverage and vitamin E Lightweight, water based formulae. Smooth and natural finish. Paraben/fragrance free. My Experience Its got a medium packaging, reminds me of 'NYX stay matte but not flat foundation', I love the portability of the foundation. I applied it using my foundation brush and since it is water based, you have to shake well before use because it tends to separate upon standing. I love the lightness and smoothness of the foundation when it sits on the skin although when applied at first it looks pale then it slowly warms up to your face and blends with your complexion. It has a thin t

Letting Go and Letting God

Been long you heard from me and i am really sorry about that. This post has been in my draft since July 😦.  Yes, that is how long this post is but it wasn't intentional, I was supposed to have a photo shoot for this post which didn't even happen anymore, so I am going with something else. 😞 Well, it was supposed to be the best year, everything had already been mapped out but things got out of control and i blamed myself alot, I worried and cried myself to sleep, I was frustrated and depressed, I felt as if things were working out for everyone but not me. I realized I couldn't do it on my own, I needed to be comforted, I needed reassurance that everything was going to be alright. During that time, I was going through a post and came across ecclesiastes 3 vs 4 and 8 "A time to weep and a time to laugh: a time to mourn and a time to dance"   " A time for war and a time for peace" I don't know how I forgot this wonderful verse in the bib

Review: Classic Perfect Matifying Face Primer

I used to apply make up on my bare face which leaves my face cakey, annoying and i really had to do something about it, i spoke to my friend who advised me to get a face primer. I went to the nearest makeup store and got myself this classic matifying face primer since that was the only primer they had at the moment and boy! Did it do a hell of a job 😍. Stay with me while I give you a rundown of this product. The Company Information and Promises Long lasting matte look. Leaves skin soft and velvety. Contains antioxidants to keep skin young. Developed to fight against oily, flaky, dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines. Contains SPF15 Fragrance and paraben free.  How did I apply it?  I apply on my bare skin, round my face, mostly on my T-zone and cheeks since I have a combination skin and those areas tend to get oily. My Experience  I love the look and packaging of the product, I hope they never change it. I love the silky/velvety and matte feeling which gives t

Gift Ideas For Him/Her

Hey lovelies, its been a while, I have missed you all and I apologize for my long absence, I hope you all have been well? So I'm here to talk about gift ideas for our loved ones, honestly it can be nerve wrecking to pick a gift because you don't want to get something small or insignificant but at the end of the day, its the thought that matters, though some people would not understand this. Now, what type of gift would be perfect for that friend/partner on their birthday, anniversary, graduation etc? Before we look over these gift ideas, let me talk about two things you could consider when or before getting a gift: 1. Try getting something they have been wanting to get or buy : Let me give you an example, a friend of mine went to get something with her boyfriend, he got out his wallet to pay and began complaining about his wallet being worn out and how his job doesn't permit him to get stuffs for himself, his birthday was close by and my friend didn't hesi

2017: An Opportunity For New Beginnings

I have never been fond of making new year resolutions not because I think its overated but because of the fact that after few weeks reality sets in and you are back to your old self which is an epic fail and that my friend is not an improvement to one's life, if you keep living the same life yearly without a positive change then you are likely to fail at one point. There is nothing wrong in making these resolutions even if we fail to keep them, but the good news is that each year is an opportunity for a new beginning and a fresh start. While I drop a list of new resolutions which will be beneficial to us all, I will also try my best to stick to these goals and keep records of the ones I achieved and their progress. Now, I know am a little bit late with this list but we are just a month late and its not too late to go through with it. So, my friends, here is to a fresh start. Say no to procrastination: first of all, for us to achieve this resolution we need to drop this b
