Self Love

Phloxies Blog: Nigerian Lifestyle Blog

I used to look at the mirror and not like the girl i saw, i was not satisfied, i was not happy, i didn't think i looked attractive, i wanted more. I wanted to be like the people on tv and magazines, with their perfect body, long hair, pointed nose, nice curves and pretty eyes. I didn't think anyone would take me serious or love me the way i was. I wanted to change everything about me.

But then i grew up one day, i realised i was loved, i realised you can never be perfect, i realised that the people on tv and magazine too were not as perfect as themselves on tv and magazine. It was all a lie.

No one can love you if you don't love or appreciate yourself, you are perfect the way you are, every one deserves to be loved, especially by the most important person which is YOU. These steps will help you love yourself:
  1. Never compare yourself with others, you don't know what is ahead of them.
  2. Always be with people that really loves you and reminds you how amazing you are.
  3. Everyone is talented in one way or another, find your call.
  4. Celebrate your wins no matter how little it is, make sure to look in the mirror, pat yourself and say "yes i did it, i am proud  of me"
  5. Treat others with love and respect, help a needy, there is a fulfilment it brings .
  6. Find something you are grateful for each day, if it's good? Be thankful and if it's bad? Be thankful for the lesson you learnt from it.
  7. Learn to say NO sometimes to things that will put you in a difficult situation, it doesn't make you bad or selfish, it makes you smart.
  8. Be human, it is okay to make mistakes, don't beat yourself up for one, laugh, learn from it and move on.
  9. Forgive yourself  for any bad thing that you have done, it happens to everyone, let go of bad experiences and trauma, its in the past.
  10. Think hard and let go of a bad character that chases people away from you.
At the end of the the day, don't be narcissistic, feel better and everything will fall in place.

I hope this article was helpful........:)

How To Make Carrot Oil

Carrot oil can be used for the skin or hair and getting a good one can be nerve-racking sometimes, it’s either expensive or you fear getting a fake one. I learned how to make my own carrot oil and the transformation was so beautiful; the use of carrot oil brightened my skin and made it really soft, the key is to apply it when your skin is still wet before applying your lotion 🌚 I have never gone back to buying from a store ever since. Keep reading as I walk you through how to make your own carrot oil. Supplies • Hand Grater  • Pot • Mesh Strainer or Cheese Cloth • Jar Carrot Oil Ingredient • Carrots • Essential or Carrier Oils of your choice (In my case I use Vitamin E Oil and Johnson’s Baby Oil)  Preparation   1. Wash carrots and peel the skin off. Grate carrots with the use of a hand grater. 2. Place the grated carrot in a pot and pour the oil of your choice to cover the carrot. 3. Review: L.A Girl Mattifying Liquid Foundation & Maybelline New York Fit Me Foundation

I HAVE BEEN AWAY for soooo long and it was unintentional..... life happened but it's great to be writing again. So I'm going to do something different by reviewing 2 different foundations at a time; L.A. Girl mattifying foundation and maybelline new york fit me foundation. It has been a challenge for me to find a good foundation because of my super oily skin and most times I end up with either fake products or foundations that are not suitable for my skin type. I initially used a water based foundation which is actually not compatible with nigerian sun and in my desperate need to get another one and without research I bought the L.A Girl tube packaged foundation which the seller swore was matte and would be good on me 😩 Guys, after a month of usage, I did my research and finally got the maybelline fit me and I will be reviewing it too on this post. So leggo! L.A. Girl Mattifing Foundation  607 Company Promises 100% Natural Wear Waterproof Oil Control
