Self Love

Phloxies Blog: Nigerian Lifestyle Blog

I used to look at the mirror and not like the girl i saw, i was not satisfied, i was not happy, i didn't think i looked attractive, i wanted more. I wanted to be like the people on tv and magazines, with their perfect body, long hair, pointed nose, nice curves and pretty eyes. I didn't think anyone would take me serious or love me the way i was. I wanted to change everything about me.

But then i grew up one day, i realised i was loved, i realised you can never be perfect, i realised that the people on tv and magazine too were not as perfect as themselves on tv and magazine. It was all a lie.

No one can love you if you don't love or appreciate yourself, you are perfect the way you are, every one deserves to be loved, especially by the most important person which is YOU. These steps will help you love yourself:
  1. Never compare yourself with others, you don't know what is ahead of them.
  2. Always be with people that really loves you and reminds you how amazing you are.
  3. Everyone is talented in one way or another, find your call.
  4. Celebrate your wins no matter how little it is, make sure to look in the mirror, pat yourself and say "yes i did it, i am proud  of me"
  5. Treat others with love and respect, help a needy, there is a fulfilment it brings .
  6. Find something you are grateful for each day, if it's good? Be thankful and if it's bad? Be thankful for the lesson you learnt from it.
  7. Learn to say NO sometimes to things that will put you in a difficult situation, it doesn't make you bad or selfish, it makes you smart.
  8. Be human, it is okay to make mistakes, don't beat yourself up for one, laugh, learn from it and move on.
  9. Forgive yourself  for any bad thing that you have done, it happens to everyone, let go of bad experiences and trauma, its in the past.
  10. Think hard and let go of a bad character that chases people away from you.
At the end of the the day, don't be narcissistic, feel better and everything will fall in place.

I hope this article was helpful........:)
